Project Description
This project investigates how pandemic-era housing support policies affected child health in two high-income countries: the United States and Switzerland. The study will be conducted with the collaboration of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland. The COVID-19 exposed vulnerabilities in housing systems worldwide, with low-income families disproportionately impacted. In response, U.S. and Switzerland deployed different housing support strategies that may have shaped child and family outcomes differently. Findings from this project can improve real-time decision-making, identify at-risk households before crises escalate, and model the effectiveness and equity of housing interventions.
