Max Moon

Seunghyun (Max) Moon is a Ph.D. candidate in Social Work at the University of Georgia. His research explores how precarious employment affects family formation, childrearing, and intergenerational mobility, with an emphasis on the role of social policy. He earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from Yonsei University in South Korea and a second Master’s degree in Social Policy from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked at the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs (KIHASA) on national projects related to fertility and labor insecurity. At the Children, Families, and Policy Lab, Max conducts data collection and analysis. If he were an animal, he’d be a beluga—curious, communicative, and deeply social., love, understanding, arrives in its own time.
